Write Up:

Our fun-loving group of 19 AOCers had a ball ringing in Twenty-Twelve as guests of our "Hash House Harrier" fun-running friends. The "Atlanta H4" chapter did their usual bang-up job "haring" and hosting this 23rd annual "Cheddarhead" event which began with an adventurous 4-mile hike/jog followed by a big back yard party.  The lovely springlike weather resulted in record numbers this year with more than 230 hiker/joggers participating.  We "hounds" or "harriers" helped one another stay on the flour-splotched trail of the two "live-hare" runners, "Oops" and "Beaver," who departed the Start parking lot just 5 minutes before we did.   Their trail took us through woods, across creeks,  underneath I-75 overpasses and along neighborhood streets, and we finally caught up with them at the "On-In Party" in the nice back yard of veteran hashers "Service My Tool" and "Primer."  We enjoyed copious refreshments, delicious all-you-can-eat Wisconsin-style food, door prizes and singing - also much friendly socializing in their huge back yard with its nice new patio and deck.  The event's founder, Wisconsin native "Public Enema," did his usual masterful job swearing us in at the Start with the "Wedge of Allegiance," leading the singing, and presenting nice Wisconsin cheeses as door prizes - all with ZERO fiber, of course. :>)
