Write Up:
The weather was perfect for hiking and we even had some wildflowers as promised despite going early in the season.  Several in our group of 15 had not been on this trail before and we were delighted to share it's pleasures, and challenges for those that had not done a D4 before.

We did have a bit of a scare when John slipped on a boulder near the end of the hike and injured his arm as he slid down the rock.  He was also afraid he had injured his leg.  Ann's quick thinking and having Gatoraid and cookies helped bring him out of shock and allowed him to walk out on his own.  At Ann's suggestion he did stop at a minor emergency clinic on the way home and had his lacerations cleaned and dressed and his leg checked out.  We are happy to report that he is doing well and will soon be back on the trail.
