We began with about an hour long skills clinic that included ettiquete, bike components/maintenance as well as riding skills, with practice on bike handling and obstacle clearance.  We then rode about 5 miles on the "river side" portion of Yellow River, covering most of the trails, including some intermediate trails that gave the participants a variety of terrrain to reinforce their skills.   They all did very well....just wish I had a certificate of completion for them...)
