I hope everyone who went to the top will check out the photos from this album because they are not restricted just to folks in "Group 3."  I tried to catch everyone with the AOC at least once.  Wasn't it a glorious event?  Ken Cook was there, and very willing to post for photos with anyone who asked;  the weather miraculously cleared up just as Venus was making beginning her path across the sun; there were ample telescopes from folks willing to let everyone take a look; the crowd was thrilled to be there for this historic event; - - in short, it was a FANTASTIC evening!  Some of us even stayed atop to watch the fireworks display.  (Hint:  DON'T BOTHER! The economy has taken it's toll here, so all we got were around 3 big flares at the end of the laser show.  Better to go to the meadow where you can see the show and hear it - - and see the whimpy fireworks from ground level.)  We all owe a big "Thank-you" to Charlie Cottingham for organizing this grand event for the AOC, in conjunction with the Atlanta Astonomy Club - - and for allowing eveyone who signed up to attend!
