A fast, blistering hike at Island Ford!  (I really did get a blister!) The days are definitely get shorter (yes, I know they're always 24 hours;  but the sun, the sun!  It's going away earlier and cutting into hiking time!), so we had to keep up the speed to cover distance.  The temperature was rather pleasant, which hints at what is soon to come - - fall!  Island Ford continues to be one of the most beautiful of all the CNRA units.
