It was a sweet trek at Sweetwater today with a fine group of AOC adventurers. We started out on the Yellow trail, then took an offshoot and scrambled over some rocks to get a great look at the ruins of the New Manchester Mill from the other side of the creek.  We returned to the finish the wonderful wooded loop of the Yellow trail and then, by crossing over the rebuilt bridge, it was just a short hike to the awesome Visitor Center for a short break.  From there we headed counter-clockwise on the white trail and took in the views of the marsh, Jack’s lake and Jack’s branch.  That led us to follow alongside the Sweetwater Creek rapids until we arrived at the mill ruins.  As many of our group are regulars at Sweetwater, we then split up – with some opting for the Blue trail finish and some headed by the Red back to the parking lot.  Another great morning of hiking and fellowship with the AOC!
