We had a great time at Vickery Creek this morning, sharing the unit with kids competing in an orienteering event.  Someone substituted a long pipe for a bridge across the creek, causing the group to take a long detour.  (Okay, maybe the pipe was there all along . . . .  but a bridge would have helped us end the hike on time.)  The occasional inadvertent trails (it was Joyce's hike, after all) made for a very interesting hike,  extending the hike distance to over 6 miles, and extending the time to 2 1/2 hours.  No one complained, and we all had a great workout. 

Welcome to the AOC, Mike C.  We hope to see you as a regular participant on the trails now that you know how much fun you can have.  Great to see so many of you that I haven't seen in many months!
