     Hiking to the top of Blood Mountain, then following the Freeman Trail all the way to Neel’s gap and paying a visit to Mountain Crossings was a total blast!  The weather was wonderful and fourteen Happy Hikers really had a great time on the trails, the summit, at the store, and then (most of us) topped it off with a great meal of Mexican food in Dahlonega.  It was also nice to welcome Richard and Laura who joined us for their first hike with the AOC.

     We also want to send out a special shout out and thank-you to a wonderful TL – Chad Chatham – who after working so hard to set up the event and plan out the day, was sick and unable to join us.  Chad, you were missed and we look forward to your next Blood Mountain hike!
