Thunder and Lightning!?  Ha!  The threat of thunderstorms could not dampen our thirteen hardy (but happy) hikers as we braved the elements for a great afternoon of hiking at Serenbe.  We stopped at the falls and then as we headed off to explore the marvelous ruins of the double walled dairy barn - the sky darkened, the heavens opened up with a mighty deluge, the lightning flashed and the thunder… well thundered!  However, by the time we reached the ruins the wild storm had begun to abate.  We came across three box turtles on our trek and also enjoyed some of the unique trees that are found throughout Serenbe.  Throw in a quick stop by Fern’s Market for popsicles or refreshing coconut water and we had all the makings of a great day!  Great attitudes were displayed throughout the entire hike by folks who love the outdoors.  It really was a delightful group of Happy Hikers out today at Serenbe! – A Happy Hiker
