Write Up:

All seven of us - Todd and Aimee, Marty, Niki, Jeff and your TL's Patrick and David - had a lot of fun and saw so many beautiful sights on the trails of Glacier NP.

The trip was not without it's hiccups with late arrival @GNP on Saturday (instead of noon Saturday), due to Delta plane malfunctions, resulting in having to reschedule on other flights for 4 of us.  Also there was no cell communications in most of the park so there was some miscommunication (and not able to communicate change of plans due to forgetfulness at times of some of the group) resulting in not starting together on the Highline trail and a few other issues.  There were some close calls with getting on the last GTS shuttle to Logan Pass, as well as managing to get past GTS closing at 9pm (even though it was actually open on Saturday night after 9pm, contrary to what we had been thinking!).

But what a wonderful trip with such beautiful sights, even in the rain/mist on the Highline trail and the early parts of the Ptarmigan tunnel trail.  We did enjoy Ptarmigan tunnel and Iceberg Lake trail together (as well as photos of the male ptarmigan showing it colors to the females), with Iceberg Lake trip being perhaps the favorite of most of the group - also enjoyed doing boat ride and Two Medicine journey, as well Moose family photos there.

There were sunrise and sunset picture trips, a few substitutions to the plan, but mostly switching around from one day to another to accomodate needs of the group.  We did skip Dawson/Pitamakan loop in favor of a more serene (and less taxing shorter distance) Upper Two Medicine Lake / Twin Falls trip, substituted the Grinnell Glacier trip option for the Scenic Lookout hike at Two Medicine and skipped the Grinnell Glacier option (having already seen it from below).

Lots and lots of pictures for our  personal enjoyment and memories.  We hope to share some with each other at a later date using dropbox.  I'll post an album at a later date.

Thanks Patrick for getting us together and David for adding some more taxing options for those that wanted.  Most of us hiked anywhere from 60 to 90 miles during the week.  Some of us lost some weight!  Did anyone gain some weight?

Blessings of good company and fellowship and enjoying the beautiful scenery and stories behind the creation of Glacier NP were had by all.

David
