When we left Atlanta this morning, the sun was shining, but the further up north we drove, the worse the weather got. I think everybody agrees with me, though, while we did not have a sunny day, the temperature was perfect being in the low 80s. It was very humid due to the rain in the area the night before - but while we had some drizzle, it never gotten to the point where we really needed a raincoat. We heard thunder, but we also saw sunshine! Go figure! The best of all, we had a great group of hikers and the trail was not crowded at all. Not bad for Labor Day Sunday!
