Sam and I (Joyce) co-lead this adventure hike, but we couldn't have done it without Allan guiding us to and fro.  Although we avoided the thorny areas and the bogs, we did have some interesting creek crossings to maneuver and some thick underbrush to push through.  But we were prepared with our waterproof boots and sticks, so we made it through without a fall and no bloodshed.  It was great meeting Nelson, a relatively new member, who fit in very well with his outgoing personality and kind spirit. He was a big help on the creek crossings!

Thanks so much. Allan for planning the route and keeping us going in the right direction.  We made good time, covering the 8 miles in plenty of time for Clay to get back to a TV set to watch the UGA game. Sam suggested a stop at Mountain Biscuit after the hike - - an invitation that Sharon, Nelson, Silvia and I couldn't pass up!
