The temperature at the beginning of our hike was a bit chilly, but we were shedding outerwear half way through the hike.  We checked out the new Sope Creek Bridge from the river and then walked across the bridge to see the paper mill ruins on the other side.  There's a nice sidewalk on the bridge now, so walking to the other side is no longer a safety hazard.  Everyone was impressed with the ruins on the other side - - structures which often go unseen by hikers at Sope Creek.  After checking out the ruins, we hiked the trails logging in 5+ miles before returning to our cars.  A couple of the trails were challenging ascents, but the group did well with nary a complaint.
