     Wonderful heavy rain and incredible wild rapids are the best terms to describe a very wet day at Sweetwater Creek State Park!  Four Happy Hikers (Ken, Erica, Nahid and I) met under the awning at the Nature Center, then headed out to cover every trail (known and secret) in the park.  We travelled just over 12 miles at a good medium pace and only stopped after the first six were completed for a quick break at the Nature Center.  We only saw one other group of hikers – a pleasant young family with their children.  Now, with the ample rainfall comes awesome creek levels, and the sound of the roaring rapids was almost deafening at times and so enjoyable.  Special congratulations go out to Ken for his first co-lead as he begins his exciting journey toward becoming a Trip Leader!  Folks… I do hope you’ll join me another time at Sweetwater Creek for a Rainy Day hike – the rocks are not slippery at all and the views are simply tremendous!  *While we didn’t take a lot of pics – the album is definitely worth the time to view.  – A Happy Hiker
