We relished absolutely perfect weather on our two-hour ramble through Island Ford.  Signs of spring were everywhere, from the pleasant (redbuds, dogwoods, and trillium sprouting out) to the not-so-pleasant (gnats buzzing around our heads every time we paused for a water break).  We welcomed Owen into the AOC on his very first hike, and enjoyed the company of Gabby, our four-legged friend. Overall we covered 6.17 miles and went home sweaty and happy.  Well done, happy hikers!  Many thanks to all of you for your most excellent companionship.
