Write Up:
Gold Branch NRA We had nice group of six young men and women with five dogs. The morning with was warm and with a slight wind. We started the hike a little late at about 8:45 due to waiting for a few latecomers. The forest was beautiful and lush with many different types of wild flowers in full bloom. This and other vegetation put wonderful scent in the air which slightly changed as we hike through different areas of the forest. The group hike at a steady pace thru the rolling hills of the hardwood forest. At one point during the hike we saw two large beautiful swans near the edge of the Bull Sluice Lake. All and all it was great hike and I lead this hike again in the future.
