The mantle of leadership was returned to Ann and Ralph on this hike, and our group got a good reminder of Ralph's arm swingin' fast gear as he led us back and forth across the hilly, rocky trails of Vickery Creek.  We clocked 5.7 miles in just about an hour and 40 minutes.  Although the write-up said it was a hike, many of us found ourselves trail running for much of the time just to keep up.  (Short legs are a distinct disadvantage when keeping pace with Ralph!)

Amazingly, our two brand new AOC members, Glenn and Kireet (K), had no trouble staying with the group.  They are both friends of Molly and Sam, themselves new AOC members.  How nice it is for members to enjoy our events enough to encourage their friends to join.  We appreciate that!

I'm so proud of our group - - all 18 of them - - for handling this difficult event so capably!  :-)  And a huge "WELCOME BACK, ANN and RALPH!"
