Itinerary:

Sawnee Preserve sits on over 900 acres in Forsyth County and has an excellent summit/viewing area to look out across parts of North Georgia.

We'll go in SILENCE from the Main Visitor's Center Entrance Trailhead to the summit, taking in the mountain trail and the serenity of the morning.  The hike will take the most direct trek to the top, then on the way down we'll go towards the other parking area and the addition trails that make up the Sawnee Preserve.  Talking will be allowed on the trip down.

Given the silent start, we'll go at a Moderate pace, but not too fast to miss the sounds and sceneryof the area.   We will only take brief rests to allow the group to reassemble and water (and possibly rest rooms at the second visitor's area/parking lot).

We will do the trails along the backside of the mountain as well - finishing back where we started.
