Itinerary:

Meet in Stone Mountain Village by the caboose at the Welcome Center. There is ample parking in the village on weekdays. I park in a lot across the street. We will walk in from the Village on the Path, then start on the train tracks and hike around the mountain on a combination of the Cherokee Trail and the Connector Trails (white and orange) at a moderate pace, for a 2-2.5 hour total. I intend not to slow my pace, but I wouldn't call myself the fastest hiker. You're welcome to go up the mountain after, but I will be going back to work. Also, if you're hungry after the hike, try the cheesesteaks at Weeyum's (across the street from the Welcome Center). I might hang around for that, but no promises. :)

*Disclaimer: I will give adequate instructions and my phone number to anyone who thinks they cannot keep up. Because this is a local hike with ample road access, you are welcome to take your time or wander (but the group will not wait if you do so).
