Itinerary:
Beat the summer heat by heading underground. Steward Springs Cave is near Ft Payne Alabama, around 2 hours drive from Atlanta. The cave is privately owned and gated, This is the trip leaders first time to the cave, so be prepared for an explorer type trip. I've been told there's some nice formations, and the few photos I've seen were promising. This is a stream passage cave, so be prepared to get wet in some very cool water. There may be some tight crawls as well.

Required Items to Bring:
Caving Helmet and Light (Rentals available, $15), spare water resistant light, 8 AA alkaline of lithium batteries, knee pads, gloves, sturdy boots, garbage bag for muddy stuff, cash for carpool driver, food and water for in-cave, small pack. 		Recommended Items to Bring:
