New Members Welcome

This is a hike posted to encourage new members (members with 3 or less events) to come out and start hiking with the club, yet is open to all. The actual number of spots available for this event will be 20 but the there will be 10 spots saved for new members. How this works, the event will sign on the first 10 participants, after that members will be signed onto wait list. Depending on how many of the first 10 are new members, the next signed up new members on the wait list will be moved over up to the 10 and once the slots have been filled then the full group number will opened up and wait list members will be moved over in the order they signed up. This hike is approximately 4.5 miles long we will leave from the parking lot where we will walk on a couple of different trails to the banks of the Chattahoochee. There will be some shallow river crossings, but nothing that will soak your boots, but if you do slip you will get wet.

Coming from downtown Atlanta drive north on I 75 until Exit 261. Take a right to East Delk Road. After a little over a mile, Delk Rd. dead ends at Terrell Mill. Turn left on Terrell Mill for about one mile, until you reach Paper Mill Rd. Turn right on Paper Mill Rd. and proceed another mile or so. The parking will be on your right.

Notes:

-There is a parking fee of $3.00 per car. Sunset is at 8:52 PM, and twilight ends at 9:21 PM.
