Let's take advantage of this gorgeous weather while we can!!

Come explore the little known but gorgeous Jones Bridge Unit of the Chattahoochee NRA on Sunday Morning as we cover between 4.5 to 5.5 miles at a comfortable, moderate pace. We will make a couple of stops along the way to rehydrate. Beginners are welcome!

We will start our hike by heading towards the historic Jones Bridge. We'll take a short break for a group picture and to view the rapids. We will then walk along the river towards the pond as well as explore the woods and meadows throughout. We’ll loop around the back end of the park to make our way back to the parking lot. The trails are relatively flat but do expect several hills of about 150 feet of elevation.

We will meet in the parking lot at the very end of the entrance road. Restrooms are available.

We will start promptly at 9:30 AM and finish up around 11:30 – just in time to enjoy the rest of what looks like will be a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow time for introductions, pay the $3 parking fee, and use the restroom.

Up to 2 dogs are welcome, but in accordance with park rules, they must be kept on a leash. Dog owners should walk ahead or at the back of the group.

***Don't leave valuables in car as there have been some reports of vandalism.

From GA 400, take exit 7a, and head East 4.1 miles through the intersection of Holcomb Bridge and Nesbitt Ferry Road to the junction of Barnwell Road. Turn left on Barnwell Rd, and travel approx 2 miles to Jones Bridge Branch which will be on the right. Turn in and go a little over 1/2 mile to large parking lot at end of road.
