Itinerary:

Wow, it's hot outside! Why go to White Water, deal with the crowds, ticket prices, when there is a perfectly good swimming hole right up the road!?

Join us for a day of hiking and swimming in the beautiful Cohutta Wilderness...... There are many trails in the Cohuttas that lead into Jacks Falls, but Beech Bottom is the easiest way to get there and enjoy a nice long lunch break and swim. This easy to moderate trail is 4 miles oneway with another .6 miles to the falls. Total hiking distance is 9.2 miles

  • 2 Liters of Water or sports drink

    Note: I'll be bringing my water filter too.
  • Recommended Items to Bring:
    Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug Spray
  • Hat for a sunny day
  • Bathing suit and towel
  • River shoes/Tevas for playing at the falls
  • Rain gear/poncho (you never know if it might rain)

    Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $72.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
