Itinerary:
Join us for an evening hike at Sweetwater Creek State Park. We will complete a 3 mile loop on the blue and red trails. This is a fun and scenic hike very close to town. The blue trail highlights the park’s diverse non-game wildlife and plant communities. On the red trail we will pass a waterfall, the rapids along the creek, and a large Civil War mill ruin as we make our way over the rocky terrain.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Sweetwater Creek State Park hiking trail parking lot, near the new visitors center. This park is west of Atlanta off of I-20 outside of I-285 past Six Flags exit and located at exit number 44, Thornton Rd. The park is a left hand turn off of the exit. Go over I-20 and about a half mile to the first light-Blairs Bridge Road (large car dealers mark the corner) where you will need to turn right. Follow this road a couple of miles to the Sweetwater Creek State Park sign (indicates left hand turn). Travel a couple more miles and into the park, over the Lake, and very briefly after passing the Lake look for a sign indicating hiking and other activities on road on the left hand side.
