Itinerary:

Please join us for a hike and optional triva event at East Palisades (Whitewater Creek entrance) and Mellow Mushroom. We will start the hike at 5:30 pm and hike some of the different loops in the park.

Afterward, please consider joining us for the optional trivia portion of the event at Mellow Mushroom - Marietta (770-933-8584) at 8:00 PM. It is a few miles away at the corner on Powers Ferry Road and Windy Hill Road.

Don't worry if you are not "good" at trivia. It is just an excuse to socialize after a hike! :)

When you sign up, please write in the note section whether you plan to attend the optional trivia portion or not so we know whether we need to reserve a large table for us. Thank you. :)

How to Get There:

Event Directions:

From eastbound Interstate 285
Take exit 22, Northside Drive, New Northside Drive, Powers Ferry Road.
Right on Northside Drive.
Go through the Powers Ferry intersection for 1.6 miles to Harris Trail (Caution light).
Right on HarrisTrail and 0.9 mile to Whitewater Creek Road.
Right and travel 0.1 mile to the entrance on the right.

From westbound Interstate 285
Take exit 22, Northside Drive, New Northside Drive, Powers Ferry Road.
Straight to second traffic light.
Left on Northside Drive, through the Powers Ferry Road intersection for 1.6 miles to Harris Trail (caution light).
Right on Harris Trail and 0.9 miles to Whitewater Creek Road.
Right and travel 0.1 mile to the entrance on the right.

From northbound Interstate 75
Take exit 256, Mt. Paran Road.
Right on Mt. Paran Road to first traffic light (Harris Trail)
Left on Harris Trail to Whitewater Creek Road
Right about 0.4 miles to the unit which is on the left.

From northbound U.S. 41
Right on Mt. Paran Road, go to the first traffic light (Harris Trail) and turn left.
Go about 0.3 miles turn left onto Whitewater Creek Road.
Go 0.4 miles to the unit, which is on the left.

From southbound U.S. 41
Travel to Mt. Paran Road
Turn left on Mt. Paran Road, go to the first traffic light (Harris Trail) and turn left.
Go about .3 miles turn left onto Whitewater Creek Road.
Go .4 miles to the unit, which is on the left.

Notes:

A maximum of 3 friendly dogs are permitted on this hike. They must be on a leash at all times and you must pick up after your pets per park rules. Please keep in mind if you do bring pets, you may have issues attending the optional trivia portion of the event.

* We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines while participating in AOC events.

Cost Includes:

$3 parking fee at East Palisades if you do not have annual pass.

Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review the AOC cancellation policy.
