Itinerary:
FREE for AOC members but $3 to park or buy an annual pass! For me, backpacking season begins after Labor Day. To get in shape, this year I'll be leading a few after work hikes with a backpack, increasing the backpack weight each week. How to Get There:
Event Directions:From GA 400, take exit 6, Northridge Road. Get to right hand lane go straight through light to Dunwoody Place Go .5 miles to Roberts Drive turn right. Go .7miles on Roberts Drive, park entrance will be on your right (Island Ford Parkway). Meet at the Ranger Admin. Buildings

Notes:
Possible group dinner afterwards If you are an experienced hiker but beginner or nOOB backpacker, this is the time to load a day pack and get a feel for backpacking. Some of us will likely let you try our packs too.
