Itinerary:
Natural Water Slide at Bridal Veil Falls
It's too hot for hiking, so let's play in the water! One of the most spectacular canyons in the eastern U.S., Tallulah Gorge is two miles long and nearly 1,000 feet deep. From the visitor's center, we will take Hurrican Falls Trail to Bridal Veil Falls. Approximately 2 miles, round-trip but we can make it longer depending on how the group feels. The trail is mulched with metal stairs. Rated difficult. This trail has a total of 1,099 stairs (including staircase to gorge floor). Please do not attempt this trail if you have any known health condition. Good shoes are required - no flip flops! Tevas or Chacos should be ok. Once we are in the gorge, we will spend the day swimming and playing in the river. Bridal Veil Falls forms a natural water slide that provides hours of entertainment. When everyone is tired, we will head back home. Only 100 hikers are allowed each day into the gorge so that is why the early start.

Afterwards we will go for the traditional after event meal of Mexican Food.  If you do not wish to go for same make sure you are in a vehicle that will take you back from the event immediately.  If you can not locate a vehicle that is not coming back after the even right away it might be best for you to drive yourself to the event.
