Itinerary:

The hike is about 11 miles round trip at a 2.5 mph pace. We will start at the top of the falls at the trailhead. Please plan on bringing a small lunch/snack, We will stop at the Hike Inn for our lunch break. The Inn will often have some bread, dessert or fruit that you can enjoy in exchange for tips for the Inn employees, but this is not guaranteed. We will go up the Approach Trail and return via the Hike Inn Trail to make a loop. We will hike together as a group. If you like to go faster please choose a different event.

From the park and ride get on I 75 north for 30 miles to a right on GA 108 (Waliska Hwy). After 2.2 miles GA 108 becomes GA 53. After 8.5 miles turn left onto Steve Tate Rd which becomes Steve Tate hwy. Turn right on GA 136 for 1.6 miles then left on GA 183 (Elliott Family Pkwy) which becomes GA 52. Follow GA 52 to the park entrance on the left.

Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $45.60 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

$5 Parking Fee unless you have an annual park pass. Joyce and I both have passes.
