We'll head up to the top of Springer Mountain via the AT approach Trail. Springer Mountain stands at approximately 3800 feet and is at the Southern Terminus of the AT!!

The hike will start from the top of Amicalola Falls and follow the AT approach trail to the summit of Springer Mountain. If time and weather permits we will have lunch there.

On our return back we will have the option to visit the Hike Inn if the group wants to. The Hike Inn usually has some excellent cookies or desserts available for a small donation/tip.

If you are meeting at the event, meet at the Visitor Center at 8:30AMish.

There is a $5 parking fee paid at the gate when you come in to Amicalola State Park or if you are a member of a public library they may have a state park pass that you can borrow.

If you have not recently completed a D5 event with the AOC, the trip leaders will contact you to see if this event is appropriate for you.

The event will go ahead only in good weather.

It's the first left you can make in the parking lot and you'll cross a bridge and then climb and follow the signs to the top of the falls to your right.
