Let's start the weekend with a calorie burner at Vickery Creek.

We'll be starting the hike promptly at 4 pm, so please arrive 10 minutes early so that we can make introductions and get started on time.

The Vickery Creek section of the Chattahooche National Recreation Area contains many miles of interconnected hiking trails. Our plan is to hike about six miles miles of these trails which include some sections of rocks and roots as well as some easy-to-maneuver sections.

This will be a fast paced hike. so it is not a hike for beginners or for folks who can't handle a 3 - 3.5 mph pace over hills, rocks and roots. If you're new to the AOC or haven't done any fast D3's, we will contact you to check on your ability to handle the hike. We won't leave anyone behind, so we will have to slow down the entire group if you can't keep up.

We are starting and parking on Oxbo Road. The lot is ON Oxbo Rd. (NOT the Roswell Mill entrance!!) It is free to park at this location! Directions below.

We will meet at the Oxbo parking lot on Oxbo Road, off of Route 9/120, Atlanta Street, Roswell GA. There is a gas station on the corner of Atlanta Street and Oxbo where you have to turn. The lot is on your right about 1/2 mile down the road.

Notes:

Sorry - - no restroom facilities at this entrance. If you have enough time, you can use the Roswell Mill entrance bathroom before driving on to Oxbo Road.
