Itinerary:

East Palisades is one of the most beautiful and unique of all the CRNRA units. The Park has several miles of trails that connect to a scenic overlook that offers excellent views of the Devil's Racecourse Shoals; the Bamboo Forest, a cave, a rock outcropping and a few hills!

We will hike 5-6 miles at a moderate pace with an elevation gain of 600-800 feet. This is considered a HARD D2 hike and therefore not a hike for beginners.

We'll start the hike PROMPTLEY at 3:45pm. The parking lot could be crowded, so please give yourself some extra time.

Please bring a headlamp or flashlight in case we get delayed on the the trail. Sunset is 6:14pm

2 dogs are permitted on the hike. They must be on a leash at all times in accordance with the National Park rules.

If you don't have a CRNRA parking pass, you will need to purchase a $3 day pass, cash only.

There are no restrooms at this location.

We will be meeting at the INDIAN HILLS parking lot.

From eastbound Interstate 285

Take exit 22, Northside Drive, New Northside Drive, and Powers Ferry Road.
Right on Northside Drive to Powers Ferry Road.
Go through Intersection at Powers Ferry Road and 1.1 Miles to Indian Trail.
Right On Indian Trail and will dead end at the unit's entrance.

From westbound Interstate 285

Take exit 22, Northside Drive, New Northside Drive, and Powers Ferry Road.
Straight to the second traffic light.
Left onto Northside Drive to Powers Ferry Road.
Go through the intersection at Powers Ferry and 1.1 miles to Indian Trail.
Right on Indian Trail and will dead end at the unit's entrance
