Itinerary:
Another Wednesday Hike. If we get a few people to sign up, we'll go. We'll be walking / hiking between ZERO to 26.2 total miles - you choose the distance you want to hike! Ride Marta back to the start at the Chamblee Station if you don't want to walk the whole route. Perfect for people with Moderate to Advanced levels who have been wanting to test their limits in a safe setting. (Bring 10 dollar bills to ride Marta back to the start.)

Visit Atlanta Marathon for information, Course Map, and Elevation Map links. We'll be starting at the 13.1 mile mark on their map. We'll hike miles 14, 15, etc to 26, and return via the Miles 1, 2, etc to mile 13.1.

Walk as much of the route as you want (Joggers/Runners can run ahead if they desire). MARTA stations abound near the route and you can jump on the train and return to the start where you left your car whenever you're ready.

Link to the Marta train station locations. Marta Train Locations

Everyone will start near the Doraville MARTA Station and well follow the Atlanta Marathon route towards Turner field and return.

I might have to reschedule this hike if we don't get any Wednesday hikers!

Required Items to Bring:
Ten Dollar Bills to cover the Marta Train back to the start. water bottle, good walking shoes (no new ones please)
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Meet at the Chamblee Marta Train station parking lot.

Notes:
PACE - slow to moderate. Think 2.0+/- MPH Maybe 3.0 MPH if we can handle it. We'll hike long miles, but I am not going to rush or leave anyone behind. If you're dragging, Marta Stations are all over for a ride back to the start. Think "light weight" when packing - you should probably bring a car key, $10, a driver's license and a health card.

If bad weather arrives, we'll reschedule.
