Itinerary:

Get ready for high speeds at the World’s Largest Zip Line Canopy Tour at Historic Banning Mills! The Flight Pattern Plus Zip Line Canopy Tour includes our double Big Daddy Zip Lines –1500 feet long, allowing you to soar up to 55-60 MPH! 

The Flight Pattern Plus Zip Line Canopy Tour is just PART of the World’s Largest Zip Line Canopy Tour, and is an amazing Eco Zip Line adrenaline rush! You will experience high speed ziplines, up to 10 sky bridge walks, three towers and 16 zip lines, crossing the Lost Gorge five times. This tour features our Big Daddy and IB2 (I’m a Big Daddy Too) high speed ziplines –both are 1500-feet-long with heights at 200 feet, and speeds up to 55 MPH!

Your tour will conclude with Swoop – our 900 foot long zip line, taking you over and down the middle of Snake Creek!

Participants must be a minimum of 90 lbs. Max weight of 250 lbs. for women and 285 lbs. for men. -

How to Get There:

From Atlanta at I-20:

Take I-20 west to exit 34. Go south on Hwy 5, about 19 miles to the second traffic circle. Not the first but the second traffic circle! Turn right onto Hwy 16/Alt 27 and go Through the town of Whitesburg, go under the Railroad Bridge and then turn right onto Antioch Rd. You will see our sign on the right. After turning right onto Antioch Rd, go to the stop sign and then go straight. We are about a mile or so on the right.

From Atlanta at I-85: 
Take I-85 south to exit 47. Turn right onto Bullsboro Drive. Then, go several red lights down and turn right onto the 34 bypass. It will say Newnan Crossing and bypass. (you will see a Chick Fil A Dwarf house and a Burger King on the left before turning onto the bypass). Go several red lights down and turn right onto Hwy 16/Alt 27 going towards Carrollton. If you cross the railroad tracks, you went too far. After turning onto Hwy 16/Alt 27, go about 10 miles and you will come into Whitesburg and a traffic circle. Go straight through the traffic circle, go thru the town of Whitesburg. Go under a railroad trussell and then turn right onto Antioch Rd. Go to the stop sign and then go straight through. We are about a mile on the right.

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $28.80 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Notes:

If you plan to meet at Banning Mills and not carpool, you must be there by 9:45 am.  Our resevation is at 10:00 am.  

We must have 10 participants on this event or it will be cancelled.  This is a rain or shine event.  If it is storming the event may be delayed.  If we are unable to zipline due to inclement weather we will be rescheduled or refunded.  


Important information for paid events in which payment is managed through the AOC:

     - Payment must be received by the payment due date and prior to participation in the event.

     - Some paid events require a minimum number of registered participants. If that number is not met, the event will be canceled and refunds will be issued to those who have already paid.

     - Third-party vendors often require damage deposits. Each registrant agrees to be liable for and required to reimburse the Atlanta Outdoor Club for any withheld deposits due to the actions of or damages caused by that registrant.

     - No partial payments. All registrants must pay the posted Member Cost regardless of any agreement you may have with any party involved in the event.

     - Read the event description carefully for additional information, and contact the trip leader(s) with any questions.


* We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines while participating in AOC events.

*Note:

If you cancel on or before April 4th, you will receive a full refund less a $10 administrative fee.  There will be no refunds for cancellations after April 4th, unless someone (approved by the trip leader) replaces you from the wait list and pays in full.
