Back by popular demand! Don't miss it this time, the Swheats reward at the end makes this event! Let's do a couple of loops on Pine Mountain to start our Sunday off right! Our approximately 4.5-mile trek will cover the east and west trails, with a jaunt up to the spectacular summit overlook. The pace will be a moderately fast 2.5 - 3mph, but we'll slow down a bit on the steeper ascents.
After the hike, we will have the option to enjoy lunch at Swheat Deli just down the road in downtown Cartersville. Swheat closes at 3pm on Sundays, so NO SLACKERS!
Dogs are permitted on this hike but please keep in mind that you must leave your dog in the car during lunch if you join us for that.

|How to Get There:|
Take I-75 North, Exit 288. Go East (right) less than a mile until the road ends, then right at Komatsu sign. Parking area for the West Loop Trailhead is on the left before entering Komatsu.
Pine Mountain Recreation Area is owned and maintained by the City of
Cartersville Parks and Recreation Department and the trail is rated
moderate to difficult. Acquired from a private donation, this land is part of
13,000 acres that was the original site of Mark Anthony Cooper's Iron
Empire. The highest point in Cartersville is reached at the summit of 1562
feet above mean sea level and has views of Lake Allatoona, the Etowah
River Valley, Red Top Mountain State Park, and Plant Bowen.
