Itinerary: | |||||||
Ok folks time for a nice easy backpacking trip! The trail to Lick Log Creek is an in and out that begins at Russell Bridge along Route 28 and follows the banks of the Chattooga River for roughly 4.5 miles. The trail is practically flat and some mild hills on it. We will leave the carpool at 9am and get up there about 11-12. We will get on the trail and hike in about 3.5 miles to the various campsites. We can then as a group decide to camp there or move on and camp near the falls or set up camp and slack pack to the falls and back. Then we will break camp the next morning and go back out the sameway we came in and head into Wallhalla. There we can get something to eat and or head straight back to Atlanta
| |||||||
How to Get There: | |||||||
Event Directions: | From Atlanta 2.5 hours, 85 northbound to first exit in SC and take highway 11 north to Wahalla. Then take hwy 28 north and right before the bridge crossing the Chattooga river there is a gravel parking lot on your right. I strongly encourage people to carpool and limit the number of cars. This is a difficult area to find so might be best for everyone to met and go together so I can show you where it is at
Carpool to Event Distance (round trip): | 200Mile(s)
Carpool Departure Time: | 9:00 am

Carpool Cost: | Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $80.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
