Itinerary:

We will start off by heading to the ‘big’ hill that takes us from the back of the parking lot to Jones Bridge. From the Bridge we’ll hike along the river trail, hit a few hills and into the woods. We’ll work our way over to the pond, loop around the far end of the park and then head back to the parking lot. 

Expect a moderate pace throughout the hike. We’ll take some breaks to enjoy the scenery and hydrate. Hopefully we'll hear the resident owl hooting at us and see the family of deer grazing in the woods.

Definition of a D2 hike: Gentle to Moderate elevation gain 400-1000 feet, moderate pace; generally 4-6 miles in distance. 

We will meet at the parking lot at the end of the Jones Bridge Unit Access road which is the entrance road into the park. 

If you do not have an annual CRNRA parking pass, you will need to purchase a $3 dollar daily pass at the pay station in the parking lot.

Up to 2 dogs will be allowed, but you must keep them on their leash in accordance with the Park rules. Please register your dog at time of sign up. 

We will start PROMPTLY at 6 pm. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to get ready and meet everyone.

As always, remove all valuables from your car, including your trunk since there have been incidents of vandalism in the past.
