Itinerary:

We will cover 3 miles through Historic Roswell traveling on tree-lined sidewalks with a return to the start after approximately 1 hour. The route is predominately level allowing us to move at a moderate and steady pace while we take in the sites.  Beginners welcome!

This moderate paced walk will take us though Roswell’s beautiful historic district. Though Roswell had been home to the Cherokees for many years, its historic homes and square were erected following the construction of a cotton mill on Vickery Creek by Roswell King in 1938. Traveling along Canton Street, Mimosa Boulevard, past Bulloch Hall and around the Rowell Town Square, we will pass by many of Roswell’s historic structures.

Please meet at the white gazebo located on the far side Roswell City Hall’s parking lot near the entrance trail to Smith Plantation. We will start promptly at 8 a.m. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early for introductions.

Our route should take us past Roswell City Hall, Smith Plantation, Minton House, Founders Hall, Naylor Hall, Perry House, Kimball Hall, Brantley-Newton House, Minhinnett House, Great Oaks, Roswell Presbyterian Church, Primrose Cottage, Holly Hill, Mimosa Hall, Dolvin House, Bullouch Hall, Town Square, Town Square shops, and Barrington Hall. Click here for more background information on the historic sites we will pass.
