Itinerary:

A full moon rising on the summer solstice?! This must be heaven. Join us to celebrate the longest day of the year AND a full moon on the rise. First we'll circle the mountain via the Cherokee Trail at a fairly fast clip. Once around the mountain, we'll ascend via a path less traveled (not the main walk-up trail). Once atop, we'll settle in to watch the sun set on the longest day of the year. After the sun departs, the moon will make her appearance.

We will enjoy a few moments of bliss before descending back down the mountain. Sunset time is 8:51 pm and moonrise is 9:00 pm.

Don't be late! We will take off promptly at 6:00. Allow plenty of time for rush hour traffic, finding a parking spot, and circling up for introductions. Neither the sunset, moonrise, nor your trip leaders will wait for you.
