Itinerary:

Join us for a beiginner friendly hike around some of the nicest parks in North Decatur. This will be an Easy to Moderately paced hike taking in the back trails of Mason Mill Park, the board walk plus Medlock Park and if time permits parts of Ira B Melton Park. 

There will be some sections in which we will utilize the excellent PATH network, this fantastic asset within Atlanta is celebrating 25 years!! More info on the PATH network can be found here: https://pathfoundation.org/

Some sights will include the old Decatur Water Works, South Peachtree Creek, Burnt Fork Creek and the sports grounds at Medlock Park.  

We may have a creek crossing or two to keep us on our toes.

This hike is dog friendly and I will allow up to 2 well behaved dogs on the hike.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

From the intersection of North Druid Hills Rd. and Clairmont Rd. drive 0.3 miles south (i.e. towards downtown) on Clairmont Rd. Turn left on Mc Connell Drive and proceed about 0.1 mile to a stop sign. At the stop sign turn right, drive a few feet, and then turn left into the parking lot.
