Itinerary:

This is a nice warm weather hike as it passes over serveral water sources. There is  a very short (about 1 mile) shuttle. We will start from the parking area for Upper Whitewater Falls (The highest waterfall in the Eastern US). After stopping for a beautiful view & pictures at the platforms the trail descends down to the Whitewater River where it follows alongside the river for awhile. The next stop is Thompson River where we will stop & cool our feet. Then we have a 400 foot climb to a ridge top before descending to the spur trail for Hilliard Falls. You can walk or swim under the falls, which descends into 3 pools. We will return to Thompson river, but this time continue on to Bad Creek where we will have our shuttle cars.

This will be a moderately paced hike meant to enjoy the water features.

We will stop for dinner in SC before getting on I-85 back to Atlanta. If you do not want to join us, please carpool accordingly.
