New Members Welcome

This is a hike posted to encourage new members (members with 3 or less events) to come out and start hiking with the AOC....yet it is open to all. The actual number of spots available for this event is 12 but the there are 6 spots reserved for new members.

How this works is that until 6 new members are signed up, new members will be given priority on the waitlist and moved over to the event. Once there are 6 new members signed up, then registration will be open to everyone. We just want to make it extra easy for new members to get out on a hike and not feel like they may be the only "newbie" there.

So come on out and join us for a hike at Sweetwater Creek State Park. We will complete a 5 mile loop on the white and blue trails. This is a fun and scenic hike very close to town. We will start on the white trail, which passes through a remote area of the park over to Jack's Lake and then meets up with the red and blue trails at the falls. We will complete our loop on the blue trail after passing a large Civil War mill ruin.

If there is enough interest, we may try to go somewhere for lunch after the hike.
