Itinerary:

Let us celebrate July 4th with an awesome hike at Black Rock Mountain State park where we will hike Black Rock Mountain!

The trail is amazing as well as the views of the mountains, lake, streams and nature. With the summit elevation of 3640 feet, Black Rock Mountain is the one of prettiest and toughest Georgia's state parks which makes this trail fun, challenging and rewarding! With this in mind, we will start our hike at below the visitor's center and make our way around all of the trails including: James Edmond Trail (7.2 miles), Tennessee Rock Trail (2.2 miles), Black Rock Lake Trail (.75), and the new one - Norma Campbell Cove Trail (.10).  If we have enough time, we will hike ADA trail to the falls.

This is a moderate to streneous hike since we are hiking at a moderate steady pace with few breaks, a short lunch break in hot temperatures and elevations. This is not a problem for experienced D4 and D5 hikers. With this in mind, you must have completed 2 D4s or a D5 to eligible to sign-up for this event.

We look forward to hiking with everyone!
