Itinerary:

Critical Mass happens on the last friday of every month.  It happens in many cities nationwide.  My first encounter with Critical Mass was as a Bay Area resident having dinner in San Francisco.  Out of nowhere hundreds of cyclists wheeled past the restaurant, some clothing optional was observed.  Atlantans do a better job of staying clothed.  It is an entertaining ride with some bringing music along.  It does have a purpose, and that is to help public awareness of bikes on the roads.

We will meet at Woodruff Park at the corner of Auburn Ave. NE and Park Place NE. at 6:30 pm.  The ride starts around 6:45 pm.   The route changes every month and is not posted anywhere.  There is a designated  leader, Angel.  The crowd just follows him.  The route usually has some inclines, followed by declines, and lots of flat areas.  We ride for approximately 15 miles.  There is typically a couple stops for everyone to catch up.  It may be getting dark when we return to Woodruff Park around 8pm, so bike lights would be a bonus.  There is metered parking as well as parking decks nearby.  Previous biking experience is required for this event

No helmet, no ride. Hybrids and mountain bikes are allowed.
