Itinerary:

Come join me for a very scenic hike!!     This is a hard D2 due to the distance in the allotted time.

The Iron Hill Loop is a relatively flat 3.8 mile loop trail with beautiful views of Lake Allatoona. The wide gravel trail meanders around the shores of Lake Allatoona. Along the trail there are hidden treasures of history to discover.

We will be taking the Campground 1.5 mile Trail from the Visitor Center down to the Iron Hill trail. The campground trail is a roller coaster of hills but none too steep or long. After hiking the Iron Hill Loop we will then hike back to the Visitor Center via the Campground Trail.

Parking Fee - $5.00 or a Georgia State Park Annual Pass

Please be sure you are capable of doing the 6.8 miles in 2.5 hours. We want to stay together as a group & have fun.

We will meet at the Visitor Center parking lot. There are restroom facilities at the Visiitor Center. Please arrive by 8:15am for facilities use & introductions. We will be starting our hike promptly at 8:30am.
