Itinerary:

We will hike as one group and maintain a moderate pace.

This is probably my favorite D4 hike in north Georgia. It has great views at the top of the mountain, and contains enough uphill to make it a strong D4 hike. It has a distance of around 7 miles, and total elevation gain of around 2000 feet.

We will start at the parking lot/trailhead and and take the trail towards Mt. Yonah. At some point, we will make a turn and take a rarely used "trail" to Pink Mountain. We will head back on the same trail to return to the Mt. Yonah trail. We will take the Mt. Yonah trail all the way to the top, where we will have a lot of great views and a chance to rest. After that, we will take the Mt. Yonah trail back to where we parked.

For carpooling, we will leave Mansell Park & Ride by 8:00 AM. Please arrive earlier. We should arrive to the Mount Yonah's parking lot around 9:15 AM, and start the hike shortly after.

Whatever you need if you are alergic to bee/wasp stings, etc.
Extra clothes/shoes to change for the ride home
Cash for your driver if you are carpooling
