Itinerary:
We will start at the Visitors Center and hike around the base of the mountain and past Burnt Hickory Road. We will turn around at the creek and come back over Pigeon Hill, Little and Big Kennesaw mountains....total distance: approx 8.5 miles.

Meet at the cannon outside the main entrance of the Visitors Center.

Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield is a 2,923 acre park that preserves a Civil War battleground of the Atlanta Campaign. While walking some of the 17.3 miles of trails you will see historic earthworks, cannon emplacements and various interpretive signs. There are 3 monuments representing states who fought here.

Kennesaw Mountain is 1808 feet above sea level. It is approximately a 700 foot incline from the Visitor Center to the mountain's summit.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:I-75 North to Exit 269, Barrett Parkway; turn left off the exit onto Barrett Parkway; travel approx 3 miles and turn left onto Old Hwy 41 (this is past US 41, Cobb Pkwy); at the next light turn right onto Stilesboro Road; the park Visitors Center is immediately on your left.
NOTE: If the parking lot is full, the best thing to do is to go ahead and park along Old Hwy 41 just before Stilesboro Road. .Meet at 9:50 a.m. at the cannon outside the main entrance of the Visitors Center.
