Itinerary:

Come join me for FUN night in Marietta > Chalktoberfest, hike historic Marietta & optional dinner at Marietta Diner.                      

We will start by seeing the chalk drawings on the streets around Marietta Square. The 2016 Marietta Chalktoberfest features 80+ professional chalk artists creating patriotic works of art on the streets of historic Marietta Square.

Then we will head out to hike our 3 miles around Marietta. Marietta was established in 1834 & still has the old small town feel. After traveling around downtown Marietta, we will head down Church Street, Kennesaw Avenue & back up Cherokee Street seeing many of Marietta's oldest homes.

After our hike there is an optional dinner at Marietta Diner (see Notes for details). Marietta Diner was founded in 1995 but has the feel of the classic 1950s diner. It has a variety of classic American & Greek dishes & unbelievable desserts. Marietta Diner has been featured on the Food Network "Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives". Come join us to eat or to just socialize.

PLEASE READ THE DIRECTIONS since many of the streets around downtown Marietta will be blocked off.

Take North Marietta Parkway to Church Street

Turn onto Church Street heading south toward downtown Marietta

Go 1 1/2 blocks

Cauthorn, Nohr & Owen will be on your left in an old Marietta house.

Drive behind the house to the parking lot.

This is a business that we have permission to park in.  It's lighted at night and has plenty of parking spaces.
