Itinerary:

We will do the 5 mile Cherokee trail loop at a moderate pace, with a short break (5 min) when we get to the junction of the mt. summit trail. Meeting at the old grist mill parking area.

 

With NO    Hike to the Summit.


Required Items to Bring:

Bring a good pair of hiking shoes that grip well.

1 qt of water

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

To the main entrance to the park From I-285 Take US 78 East (Snellville/Athens) exit. Travel roughly 7 miles to Exit 8 the St. Mt. Park Entrance exit After entering the main gate, proceed straight ahead about a mile til you come to split. Go left at the split past the pinic area, we will meet at the upper parking area in front of the old grist mill.

 


Notes:

We should have a nice cool & sunny 47 degree temps for the high.
