Itinerary:

Please join me for a morning hike at Sope Creek/Cochran Shoals (Paper Mill parking).  We will start our hike promptly at 9:00 a.m. and hike for approx. 3 1/2 hours and cover close to ten miles

We will keep a pretty steady pace of about 2.8 mph. - we will hike numerous trails at Sope Creek and Cochran Shoals (similar to a hike that I did on Saturday November 26th but starting at the other end of the trails)

Classifed as a D3 hike for the distance/time (speed will be just under 3 mph and not much elevation)

Meet at the entrance on Paper Mill Road There is a $3 cash fee for a daily parking pass or if you have a CRNRA annual pass even better.  

 

There have been cases of vandalsm to vehicles so leave all valuables at home.

Address 3760 Paper Mill Road, Marietta, GA 30067 (this address is approximate) 

From eastbound Interstate 285

  • Take exit 24, Riverside Drive.
  • Left For 2.3 miles to Johnson Ferry Road.
  • Left for 2.7 miles to the junction of Johnson Ferry Road and Paper Mill Road.
  • Left onto Paper Mill Road for 2.2 miles, entrance will be on the left.

From westbound Interstate 285

  • Take exit 24, Riverside Drive.
  • North For 2.3 miles to Johnson Ferry Road.
  • Left for 2.7 miles to the junction of Johnson Ferry Road and Paper Mill Road.
  • Left onto Paper Mill Road for 2.2 miles, entrance will be on the left.
