Itinerary:
Start at Hwy 129 and Bartram Trail cross railroad tracks and proceed up trail to it intersects with Appalachian Trail turn righ for about 1/2 mile to sumitt of Cheoah Bald. This is a moderate hike however last 2 miles is very steep. After we summit and enjoy views we will have lunch and rest before we make our return trip. Hike is about 10 miles roundtrip. Bartram Trail is close to Nantahala River

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Hwy 575 North past Blue Ridge to Hwy 60 turn left to alt Hwy 60 will end into Hwy 129 turn right to Nantahala North Carolina. Bartram Trail starts in Parking lot on Hwy 129.

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $112.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

If mileage is wrong we will adjust but this is close. NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON THIS TRIP.
